When we started putting the
latest revision of our site together we wanted a place to post
some of the more interesting technology tidbits that we ran across
throughout our day. We thought about putting news tips and other
newsworthy pieces on the front page - but we also know that
stale news is worse than no news.
So - how to easily keep it updated? We were on email all the time,
why not create a piece of software that would let us email the
latest in news to our own web site and have it be automatically
displayed on the front page?
A good question - and we developed a good answer - a set of scripts
that lets us do just that - we send an email to our browser, the
scripts pick it up and there it is. Easy, simple and always fresh.
